For the past 10 years OTS has been operating its courses in the Kruger National Park by utilising existing infrastructure. This infrastructure was not designed for housing university courses and thus has made operations difficult. However with the building of the SSLI facility OTS will act as the anchor tenant at the facility rendering the initiative financially self-sustainable and improving the quality of the courses offered by OTS. The money earned through OTS's use of the site for approximately 1/3 of the year as well as other visiting international universities will go towards maintenance and operations of that facility as well as towards running some basic core courses for South Africans.
BY EARLY 2015 WE HAVE CURRENTLY RECEIVED SOME R7.3 MILLION IN DONATIONS ALLOWING US TO BEGIN CONSTRUCTION ON SITE AND FUND PHASES 1 AND 2 OF THIS PROJECT.
However, we still urgently require funding for Phases 3 onwards and/or for some courses. If you are interested in funding a specific element of the infrastructure, or a particular please contact us. Information on funding requirements is detailed below.
